“Aragorn Son of Arathorn” by Jenny Dolfen
Jenny Dolfen has always enjoyed art. She began working with water colors and has since included Photoshop and Painter as her talents developed. Jenny teaches art classes from time to time and provides tutorials of her work. She is inspired by medieval themes. Her impressive gallery is filled with characters created by J.R.R. Tolkien, R.A. Salvatore, and J.K. Rowlings.
The water coloring techniques Jenny Dolfen uses result in vivid colors and impressive shading.
She typically paints with Schmincke full pans on Canson or Hahnemuhle paper. Jenny also uses an Intuos 3 Graphics Tablet and Photoshop 6.0 to paint digitally. Her style, detail, and choice of subjects inevitable lead to epic pieces of artwork. Jenny Dolfen’s creations are featured in many groups on deviartArt and have been awarded daily deviations.
When Jenny is not creating new artwork, she is working on her novel – “The Rhyddion Chronicles”.
It is an unpublished story featuring an alternative 13th century Wales (called Rhyddion) and the struggle against its powerful neighbor Saexony (based on England). The main character is a noble from the house of Rhyddion and will be targeted by the church for magic use. Jenny is also a mother of two and a full time teacher.
I highly recommend you visit her gallery on deviant. Any fan of fantasy will immediately add it to their favorites. Jenny Dolfen also has many prints of her work available for purchase. I myself am looking forward to adding her “Aragorn” to my collection.
